Anything can happen to your car on the road. The trip can be ruined when the radiator suddenly begins to leak. If you ignored these signals and seriously wrecked your car, use scrapping car for cash.

The arrow, the temperature gauge, is at the maximum permissible value, and it becomes simply unsafe to enjoy such aroma further. All symptoms are showing that a radiator has cracked and all coolant has escaped from it. You must agree that the situation is not an easy one: if you keep driving further the probability of engine “knocking” increases several times and so does the prospect of spending the night in a cold car. Very few people take mustard with them on the road, and in vain. Soviet car owners have known for a long time about mustard’s ability to tighten cracks. For mustard to help, simply pour about two tablespoons of powder and top up water in the expansion tank and radiator.

Then start the engine and “drive” for a few minutes until the crack in the radiator tube is “corked”. When mustard is not at hand, arm yourself with improvised tools: pliers and screwdriver and examine a radiator closely for a leak. The characteristic track mark will tell you the way to the leak. You will not need a lot of force to move the plates aside because they are soft as they are. However, you should not be in a hurry. Next, you need to cut the damaged tube and twist its ends, for the final overlap of the leaky radiator. With the help of such uncomplicated old-fashioned method, the radiator can be repaired with improvised means on the spot without worrying about the motor and getting to the nearest service station. This method of reanimation can be used only for domestic cars, and the owners of prestigious cars will still have to pay for a call to the emergency services. It is not always necessary to hurry, because depending on the size of the damage, sealants can help.
